Liability

With the website www.because.eu (hereinafter referred to as "the site"), the King Baudouin Foundation (hereinafter referred to as "the KBF") pursues an objective of general interest, namely to provide the public with transparent information on associations and foundations in Belgium, without any commercial purpose.

Some of the information on the site comes from third parties. The organisation concerned may consult and modify these data, with the exception of financial data. It may also change any information it enters itself at any time. On the site, a clear distinction is made between information from official sources and information modified by the organisation itself. The KBF builds on a relationship of trust with the organisations and assumes that the data provided by the organisations themselves are the most reliable. However, some data may be incomplete, incorrect or outdated. The KBF cannot be held responsible for this. Nor can the KBF be held liable for direct or indirect damage arising from the use and downloading of files from the site.

The site contains links to sites of third parties or organisations. The KBS has no control over the nature, completeness or accuracy of the information on these sites. Nor can it be held responsible for the content of sites to which its own site links. The KBF has no control over the persons linking to the Because site. Therefore, the presence of such a link on another site does not imply that the KBF approves or recommends the site in question.

 

Respect for privacy

By completing your profile on Because.eu, you voluntarily provide data about your organisation, yourself and other people in your organisation. Your confirm that you have permission to publish these data. The site complies strictly with the GDPR Act and the Act of 8 December 1992 on the protection of privacy and the processing of personal data.

The site is open to cooperation and information exchange with third parties in the context of projects of public interest. However, the data you provide through or after registration will under no circumstances be passed on to commercial organisations or third parties for commercial purposes. When providing data to third parties, KBS will always require that the data be treated in a transparent and respectful manner, both with regard to the data itself and to the organisation that provided the information.

The site can be consulted anonymously: visitors are not asked to provide individual identification data. The KBS uses measurement software to ascertain which pages are the most popular, how often visitors return, and so on, but without identifying visitors individually. This anonymous data is used exclusively to improve the content of the site.
You always have the right to view and delete your data and correct any errors by logging into your profile with your login details.

Copyright protection

All texts, photos, illustrations and other information on the site are protected by copyright. If you wish to reproduce them or communicate them to the public in any form whatsoever, you must obtain express prior written consent, in accordance with the law of 30 June 1994 on copyright and related rights.
The Because.eu website cannot be held responsible in any way for the photographs published on its page. Please ensure that the published photos are free of copyright or that you pay for the copyright if applicable.

The site may change the terms and conditions at any time and without notice. These changes will take effect immediately.
