The Maison des Associations has set itself the following missions:
- to support associative project leaders in the creation and development of their non-profit organization;
- to train employees and volunteers involved in associations in order to make them more professional and autonomous in their association management;
- to network associative actors in order to encourage the exchange of good practices and the sharing of resources;
- to stimulate associations in their search for funding in order to enable them to innovate and perpetuate their structure.
The Maison des Associations works in the south of Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse (13 municipalities of Beaumont, Cerfontaine, Chimay, Couvin, Doische, Florennes, Froidchapelle, Mettet, Momignies, Philippeville, Sivry-Rance, Viroinval and Walcourt) . Based in Chimay, it aims to be a place of reference for the approximately 1000 non-profit organizations in the region (and beyond!).
