La Farandole asbl is a social education association which has existed for more than 30 years and which offers various essential services to the inhabitants of Rochefort and its surroundings.

 Through our actions, we try to offer everyone the opportunity to integrate, learn, develop and emancipate themselves. We are part of a social project that advocates solidarity, justice, equal opportunities and the fight against all forms of exclusion.

We develop actions to benefit the most disadvantaged through different service offerings:

A homework school: Our EDD is a place of living and learning for children which is located between school and the return to the family environment. We offer academic support and help with homework, but we also offer many other socio-cultural, fun, sporting, creative activities and projects, etc. We welcome children who attend the basic primary school as well as the type 8 specialized school.

A vacation center: during school vacation weeks, we organize internships on our premises. On diverse and varied themes, we welcome children and offer them creative, sporting, fun and socio-cultural activities. The goals for these weeks? Have fun, relax, exercise, meet, have fun... and learn differently. We welcome children aged 4 to 12 with a focus on including children with disabilities.

French courses: in order to meet a growing need, we offer courses at different levels. These courses are aimed at any adult who needs to learn French, learn to read or write or who wishes to improve their mastery of the language. We have French as a foreign language (FLE) courses for allophones (people whose mother tongue is not French) as well as literacy (alpha) and refresher courses (RàN) for French speakers. . The objective is to promote the integration of people seeking asylum, refugees or people in social difficulties.

a public writer: We organize a public writer on call to help and support requesters in understanding and/or writing documents. Whether it is an official or personal document, the public writer can help you transcribe your words or reformulate the content of a document in order to make it understandable.

A digital public space: An EPN is a space for learning and mediation of digital uses, which aims to promote citizen participation for all in the Information Society. The EPN offers diversified access, training and support services, adapted to the needs of its audiences. The space is integrated into local life and contributes to the digital animation of its territory We offer courses, awareness sessions as well as open hours to the public. This service is aimed at children aged 8 and over, adolescents and adults.
