A duty to remember. Following the Napoleonic Wars and the fall of the Empire at Waterloo, Europe underwent upheavals that led, among other things, to the creation of Belgium and the beginnings of Europe as we know it today.

Today, the Wellington Museum boasts the largest collection devoted to the 1815 campaign. Formerly an inn built in 1705, this building housed the Duke of Wellington, commander of the Allied armies, who defeated Napoleon Bonaparte on 18 June 1815 at the Battle of Waterloo. The Wellington Museum is a must-see for history buffs. The visit features immersive scenography and audiovisual shows to give you a unique and memorable experience.
