The Association aims to promote the dissemination of knowledge to the public concerning fauna, ethology, ecology, the environment, and natural ecosystems, particularly aquatic environments, as well as the conservation and enhancement of university zoological collections—both living at the Aquarium and inanimate at the Museum.

Its social purpose is to ensure, in accordance with agreements concluded or to be concluded with the University of Liège, which owns them, the management, operation, promotion, and development of the Aquarium Marcel Dubuisson and the Museum of Zoology.

It may carry out any operations and activities directly or indirectly related to its purpose or that would facilitate its achievement, directly or indirectly.
